LETTER BINGO
Make up bingo cards with 25 squares (5 x 5). In each square randomly write a letter of the alphabet. Leave a free space in the center. This can be played like any other bingo game. Call out letters and have the children cover the square that has that letter. When a row is covered (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) call out 'BINGO'.

FISHING FOR LETTERS
You will need:
- A fishing pole (whether homemade or store bought) with a magnet attached at the end of the string.
- Slips of paper printed with individual letters (upper and/or lower case) and a paper clip attached to each, or use magnetic letters.
- Optional: You could lay down a blue piece of fabric, towel, shower curtain, etc to be the river or pond they are fishing from.
- If they can tell you what letter it is they can keep it, if not, have them toss it back in and try for another one.
- As "fishy" letters are caught, have the child divide them into categories: straight lines, curves, both straight lines and curves.
